Digital Accessibility Leads

The IT Accessibility Work Group has been revised to align work across both operational and educational divisions and is now the Digital Accessibility Work Group. Each college and division has an appointed Digital Accessibility Lead (DAL). DALs serve as the primary contact for digital accessibility within their local community, helping to identify resources that ensure the accessibility of their division’s web pages and applications.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for digital accessibility within their division or college.
  • Promote awareness and communicate the importance of accessibility across their division or college.
  • Share and reinforce university IT accessibility policies, standards, and best practices.
  • Review monthly web accessibility audit results and collaborate with the Digital Accessibility Coordinator to address identified needs.
  • Track and report metrics that demonstrate progress in digital accessibility.
  • Participate in scheduled meetings and ongoing discussions with other leads.
